Have you looked at the clock lately and wondered where the day went? How did those hours disappear so quickly? Or the date on the calendar? Is it hard to believe we are closing in on September? Or what about things that are happening in our culture and cultures all over the world? Who would have ever imagined that there would be people proudly running for public office who would want to entirely eliminate prisons and police departments? Does that cause you to pause and wonder what happens to law abiding citizens? If you live in America, you were raised to believe that “we the people” had rights that were G-d-given. Who would have believed we would see the day when abortion would be legal, giving women the “right over their bodies,” but at the same time, you would not be able to eat at a restaurant in New York without proving you’ve had a Covid vaccination? Where are the rights to our bodies now? Things we would not have imagined even two years ago are quickly happening now!
Is time is speeding up? As prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes, are we paying attention?
As he taught Zechariah, Pastor Mark brought out some amazing scriptures that remind us of what the end result will be of all that we are seeing.
Isaiah 60:19-22 The sun will not be your light by day, and the moon will no longer be bright for you by night. But the Lord will be to you an eternal light, and your God your glory. Your sun will never again go down, or your moon keep back her light; for the Lord will be your eternal light, and the days of your sorrow will be ended. Your people will all be upright, and the land will be their heritage forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands to be for my glory. The smallest of their families will become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I, the Lord, will make it come quickly in its time.

We are alive in the days that the prophets were speaking about. The great day of the LORD is near and coming very quickly. No wonder it seems that time is speeding up!
